(More customer reviews)The "V" key on my wife's notebook computer came off after a year of use and would not stay in place.A tiny fitting on the back side broke.Individual key caps do not seem to be available. This is a good value for restoring the keyboard and making the computer "like new."
I found a video on YouTube that showed removal of the old keyboard. In summary, use a sharp knife point in the crack between the computer and the keyboard to lift the upper left corner of the old keyboard.Place an ordinary butter knife under the raised corner.Twist and push it along to the right under the top of the old keyboard. There is some tape at the upper right corner that may require a bit more force to dislodge. The old keyboard tips up so three tabs at the bottom can slip out of the computer. There are two small black plastic rectangles, one on either side of the conductor ribbon. With your fingernail, slide those forward a couple of millimeters. The ribbon will be loose and will slide right out.You may need to bend and lightly crease the new ribbon conductor while positioning it in the slot and locking the two black plastic rectangles.Slip the three taps at the bottom of the keyboard into place and press down on the top edge of the keyboard.Turn your computer "on" and test to be certain everything works. It took me 4 minutes, even though I fumbled a bit.
We will save the old keyboard. If any keys break and come off of the new keyboard, we can use them as replacements.
