(More customer reviews)I have been using this for about 3 months. So far it has performed pretty well. I've only had to replace the single AA battery in the mouse after about 2 months of moderate use. I use my computer everyday for a few hours to surf the net. The keyboard still has the original two AAA batteries in it and I checked them and it still has around 90% capacity left. I don't use the keyboard much except to post messages on internet forums and the occasional email but it seems to work well.
Things I liked:
Keyboard is thin and light
Keyboard has round "handles" so you can grab it with one hand
Media shortcut keys are convenient
Keyboard is Plug N Play no need to install software when using WinXP
Keyboard keys are quiet and don't click
Individual keys aren't loose and don't wobble as much as many other keyboards
USB receiver is 2.4GHz RF and VERY small
Auto sync so you don't have to manually sync kb/mouse to receiver
Range is fairly good and no perceived lag
Battery lasts fairly long
Laser mouse is very accurate and has two DPI settings
Mouse is very lightweight
Mouse feels good in hand not too big or too small
Mouse has foward/backward and DPI mode buttons
Mouse and keyboard has red flashing low battery LED
Mouse has built-in slot for storing receiver for mobile use
Things I didn't like:
The click on the scroll wheel is very hard to press down on
The battery covers for the kb/mouse are pretty fragile so be careful when opening/closing the compartment
In summary if you use the click button function on the scroll wheel often, this is not the combo for you. Other than that it's a pretty good combo for the price. Finally like most wireless keyboards, there is no indicator for CAP, SCROLL, NUM LOCK on the keyboard itself since indicator LEDs drain the battery pretty fast. My recommendation is to use the accessibility function built into Windows to turn on audio and/or visual onscreen indicators.
