The keyboard in this set is the same familiar Gyration compact keyboard setup with the addition of a snap-on cover which can be flipped over and snapped to the bottom of the keyboard forming an angled base. I don't use this as a travel set, but if I did this would be a great feature for protecting the keyboard while in a bag or briefcase. Like a laptop, the keys are a little close together, but the feel is good and the few accessory buttons are good.
The mouse has more features and buttons than the older ones, but is very compact. In a large hand, the button underneath for use in the air is almost a little too close to the base of your hand to be comfortable. The mouse itself is very light and comes in a carry pouch. That lightness is also related to a flimsy, flexible feel. Makes me think you wouldn't want to get angry during a presentation because you might squeeze too hard and squash it. The air mousing is also not quite as accurate as what I was used to with our old one.
