I have always had good experiences with Logitech, so I thought that the negative reviews were just flukes. Unfortunately, there does appear to be a problem with this product. First, I could not get it to work when using the USB connection I don't know why, but I tried everything I could think of and it never worked. Using the PS2 connections, it eventually started working.
Unlike the other wireless products I own, the placement of the receiver makes a huge difference in functionality. The receiver is very prone to interference, so it must stay several inches away from the monitor and CPU case. Even worse, the wireless range is very short. As I am writing this review, I must keep the keyboard about 8" away from the receiver in order for it to work. Any further distance, and it does not function at all.
Finally, the mouse, while exhibiting fewer problems than the keyboard, is still prone to "jumping" and "freezing" (sometimes the pointer jumps erratically, other times it gets stuck in once place).
I am disappointed with this product, and will be returning it. I expected more from Logitech.
