The optical mouse is great too because you never have to worry about the track ball getting jammed up. When I first started browsing at the selection, it didn't even occur to me that being wireless meant the need for batteries. This set comes with not only rechargeable batteries, but a convenient built-in charger. Now I don't have to run to the store or keep stocked up on AA's. I even interchange the batteries and use the charger for other electronics in the house like my digital camera and remote controls.
